- Crack open an Emily Post - just because little miss so-and-so is a cheating whore doesn’t mean you have to call her out on it in front of everybody. You don’t like her character? Don’t interact with them. If you have a problem with somebody breaking rules, or the way they act doesn’t change after you asked them politely to cease and action- take it up nicely with the Admin. It ain’t that hard.
- Drugs, Violence, Sex, and Rock and Roll- Hey, it’s gonna happen. Characters are gonna cuss, abuse substances, shank each other’s shit up, bang each other for more character babies, and head-bang to that newfangled ‘devil music’ like the snippy whippersnappers they are. That doesn’t mean you get to shove in other’s faces, or have in happen as the whole plot of the story. PWP belongs on AA.net, thanks. All the same, if you’re gonna have this stuff being described in your post(s)- make a nice, clear warning at the top so those who don’t want to see it can jut bebop their little ass past it.
- Users and Abusers- Admins are watching. ALWAYS. They will SEE what you did there, and deliver you a tasty candy-gram of how to correct your behavior. If correction is not occurred, your ass will be promptly beat, before it’s tossed out. End of story.
R O L E - P L A Y
- I, Me, Them, They: On this forum, we choose to operate in 3rd person. As in ‘They walked down the street. He frowned’. You are allowed insight into the characters thoughts, be they kicking Socrates’ ass at philosophy and science, or losing a brain-battle with a vegetable. Please monitor your tenses, persons, and views, as switches in these (‘specially mid-post) makes things confusing for the rest of us, and upsets the Goddess, Admin.
- Republic, not a Dictatorship: God-modeing will get you struck by lightning. If there is a dispute between the actions of characters that cannot be solved between the rpers, feel free to direct it to the Admins.
- One-Liners are the devil: Okay, we understand that there are some characters that are emotional (maybe even physical) brick walls. If he just frowns, and that’s it, that’s okay. Bust please, describe. Try to make it two, lengthy sentences. At minimum. We aren’t gonna smack you much for disobeying this one, unless we notice a notable consistency in your one-liners.
- On the same note, Spell Check is god: ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER. DO YOU SPEAK IT? It’s not that hard. Really. It isn’t. I promise.
- Word of mouth: Please note when you’re talking out of character by Brackets- [ ], Parenthesis- ( ), or, if you’re feeling really special, Double Parenthesis! (( ))
C H A R A C T E R S
- All together now!: We welcome all sorts of characters of all races, genders, and sexual orientations, as long as they’re original, and preferably in the fantasy setting. Seven foot tall? Awesome. Gay? Sweeeeet. A hoojimawhatsit from the North? Okie dokie. A fatherly inbred rapist pedophile with buckteeth and pointy ears? ….eh. Questionable, but okay. That being said, if you have a serious problem with somebody’s character, try talking it out with the person first, THEN come to management.
- The catch: Mary-sues* will be given the Rasputin treatment. As in poisoned, shot, clubbed, wrapped in a carpet and tossed into the Neva River in the middle of winter.
*Things that sparkle will be given this treatment twice. Then given to a nest of fire ants.
** If you have questions about your character, and if he/she/it will be accepted and not given the Rasputin treatment, please contact an admin about them.
